Boxercise, yoga and pilates are some of the low-cost fitness sessions still on offer to residents in Blacon as part of a programme to get people energised this summer.
Sanctuary Housing, Avenue Services and Active Cheshire are providing the sports and fitness activities as part of the exciting Energise Blacon programme.
Sports and fitness activities on offer
Yoga sessions are held on Tuesdays from 9.30 to 10.30am, boxercise is from 6.30 to 7.30pm on Wednesdays and pilates runs from 11am to noon on Thursdays, with all classes held at the Dance Studio in the Parade Enterprise Centre.
The yoga and pilates cost just £2.50 per session and boxercise £3, with sessions running weekly until 14 July
Love Sport programme
Energise Blacon forms part of Sanctuary’s five-year national Love Sport programme, in partnership with Sport England, which is taking place across the country and aims to engage more than 2,250 residents in sport and fitness activities.
“Still time to get involved”
Chris Leicester, neighbourhood partnerships manager, said: “These exercise activities have already proved popular with local residents and there’s still time to get involved! All abilities are welcome and we would like to see as many Blacon residents as possible getting energised.”
