Residents have until the end of March to provide feedback to Sanctuary Housing on a proposed multi-million pound investment in Plymouth’s Barne Barton estate.

The social landlord has been consulting with residents since the start of the month on plans to purchase and regenerate the estate or refurbish the existing properties to a modern standard.

A successful drop-in event was held at Tamar View Community Centre on the 1 March where more than 60 residents came to speak to Sanctuary staff about the plans.

Residents were able to see visuals of what the estate could look like following either of the two investment options and understand more about Sanctuary’s commitment to investing in the homes.

Residents from maisonettes in 10 blocks of flats on Talbot Gardens, Savage Road and Roope Close are being consulted.

The current owners of the site are Aviva and Quintain.

And with over a week to go till the end of the month, the housing association is encouraging any residents who haven’t got in touch to provide their views by calling 0800 917 0477 from a landline, 0300 123 3590 from a mobile, or emailing BarneBarton@sanctuary-housing.co.uk
