Summer hope for Volunteer Awards

8 October 2020
Cherwell volunteers - Lacey Leonard and Morgan Leonard

We have decided to postpone the 2020 Cherwell ‘Love Where You Live’ Volunteer Awards, originally planned for November, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is instead hoped to host the event next summer and we are working with Cherwell District Council to find a way of safely staging the awards.

A number of ways to host this annual celebration of the district’s amazing volunteers have been considered but both ourselves and the council have come to the conclusion that it would be better to wait until next year.

The Cherwell ‘Love Where You Live’ Volunteer Awards recognise the hard work and dedication of groups and individuals who go the extra mile for the benefit of others.

Last year’s ceremony was held in the council chamber at Bodicote House and you can relive the 2019 event here.
