Support for historic homes in Rochford

Almshouses in Rochford

We’ve donated £23,000 to deliver much-needed kitchen upgrades in Rochford’s 16th century almshouses.

The work is part of an extensive refurbishment of the six one-bedroom Grade II listed cottages, which are managed by Rochford Charities and provide accommodation for older people who have lived or worked in the Rochford district.

The funding is part of our programme to deliver community projects in areas where we build new homes.

Installations were carried out by CHC Building Contractors Ltd on behalf of Hill, one of the developers Beech Grove Homes is working with.

“A huge thank you to Sanctuary for the funding towards the almshouses. As a trustee, this has made a considerable contribution towards the refurbishment project."

Councillor Jo McPherson
