Table Tennis for Bodicote residents

Bodicote residents are being invited to try table tennis at some new taster sessions from their local club.

Thanks to funding from Sanctuary Housing, Bodicote Table Tennis Club will be hosting the sessions which are open to men, women, beginners and professionals. The sessions will provide a taste of what the sport is about, with coaching on offer to those who want to improve.

Last year saw 30 new players join the table tennis club, 15 of those young people, with 11 going on to play in Banbury’s Table Tennis League matches.

When are the sessions taking place?

A Wednesday club night will take place at Bishop Loveday School in White Post Road. Juniors of all ages are invited from 6:15 to 7:45pm and adults from 7:45 to 9:15pm.

Eddie Tait, Chair of Bodicote Table Tennis Club, commented: “Bodicote Table Tennis Club would like to express its grateful thanks to Sanctuary Housing for the help it has given us to set up these courses.

“We wish to extend an open invitation to everyone who may wish to participate, whether you are a complete beginner or have played in the past – you are all welcome!”

Those interested in attending can turn up and play, or contact Eddie Tait by email at taitedwards48@hotmail.com. Alternatively, contact Sanctuary Housing by phone on 0800 1313348 or from a mobile on 0300 1233511.
