A Chester family business is settling into its new home at the Parade Enterprise Centre in Blacon following the completion of the building earlier this month.

Cestrian Care is the first business to move into Enterprise Centre

Kim and Craig Dupree of Cestrian Care are taking advantage of the new range of services at the £4 million centre which is run and managed by Avenue Services and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Cestrian Care needs larger and better value office space at Enterprise Centre

Cestrian Care provides homecare support workers in the Chester and Ellesmere Port areas and has seen rapid growth since it started two years ago. Having expanded its staff numbers, the business has relocated to the Enterprise Centre after outgrowing its previous premises in nearby Sealand Road.

State-of-the-art business units available at The Parade Enterprise Centre

The state-of-the-art accommodation provides eight business accommodation units which also cater for hot-desking and virtual office space. In addition, the centre also boasts a designated conference room for businesses, a large community room to cater for events and a new library.

Flexible terms available to businesses at the Parade Enterprise Centre

The centre has a range of attractive offers for tenants who move into the business units, including a one month easy-in, easy-out licence agreement.

Kim Dupree said: "The Parade Enterprise Centre represented significantly better value than our previous Chester premises. When we saw the offices in the flesh we were bowled over and immediately decided to move in. Ninety per cent of our staff members are from in and around Blacon, so it made sense to move to the centre which is ideal for our needs. It’s convenient with local amenities and we’ve received great assistance and support since moving in which will benefit us hugely moving forward."

Kim added that the library at the centre was a ‘massive selling point’ as a number of staff are studying for NVQs in Care and can access the services to assist with their learning.

Chris Leicester, social enterprise manager for Avenue Services, has supported Cestrian Care’s transition between offices, offering his expertise and acting as an unofficial associate within the business. Chris is on-hand to connect with new businesses, which is a free added-value service provided at the centre.

Chris said: “This is a fantastic outlet and there are business rental units to suit all needs, from business start-up, to multi-occupancy, and larger businesses looking to expand. We are excited about welcoming more people through the doors and showing them the opportunities that are available at the centre.”
