Torbay teens can build up leadership skills through a programme of Paignton-based workshops, funded by Sanctuary Housing.
The fortnightly youth club at Foxhole Community Centre gives 16 to 18 year olds the opportunity to mentor younger people and support them in a range of activities.
In order to provide varied experiences of leading, sessions will focus on different themes including sports and arts and crafts.
The drop-in sessions run on Fridays from 6.30 until 9pm and all young people aged eight to 18 are invited to attend, with the mentoring opportunities on offer to those aged 16 and over.
“A fantastic opportunity for Torbay teens”
Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, Lynne Roberts, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Torbay teens to prepare themselves for future careers.
“Good leadership skills are a valuable addition to any CV, with the young people also having the chance to have their training accredited through ASDAN, an education charity and awarding organisation.”
