Sanctuary Online – helping you connect
Figures for 2016 show there were 12.6 million ‘off-line’ people living in Britain.
In an ever increasing digitally driven world, we want all of our residents to be online, and confident using computers and the internet.
Our Sanctuary Online initiative is inviting you to come on a digital journey: a journey to get online and discover the benefits of the internet and all of the opportunities that can come from using it.
Free 1-1 internet training sessions
We’re offering free 1-1 training sessions to around 700 residents across the country, giving them the chance to get involved in this exciting programme.
Working in partnership with We Are Digital, we are providing dedicated sessions to adults of all ages and skill levels. From mastering the basics of using a computer, to getting up to speed with the latest technology, you can take advantage of sessions, delivered by digital experts, in the comfort of your own home.
Developing your digital skills
The programme has been designed to use digital inclusion as a key to ensuring you can make effective use of web-based services, particularly those linked to benefit entitlements, employability and being socially connected.

We Are Digital
We Are Digital (formerly Silver Training) is a major provider of digital and financial inclusion training to housing associations, councils, corporates, charities and the general public. It has the largest network of centrally-controlled tutors in the UK, providing both in-home tuition and group courses for all ages.
