Ruby lives with her son, 6, in a flat in Cheshire.
“I moved from a private rented house in Wigan to my current flat five years ago to be closer to my family. I’m a final year criminology student at Chester University. My flat is easy to run alongside full-time studies and being a mother to an active son.
“I got involved with the panel to help people who have no previous experience of the system, and also to put forward my own views on more positive ways of working and better engagement with residents. I am passionate about the role of social media in the modern world now and how Sanctuary can improve its ways of working and engaging using social media.
“For fun I enjoy exploring abandoned buildings and hidden waterfalls. I also enjoy watersports, specifically kayaking and paddle boarding. I stay as active as I can and enjoy cooking healthy meals or home comforts. I love hosting small dinner parties or events with family or friends where I can cook.”
