Young residents across the Bay are being invited to get funky at exciting free activities to mark Community Centre Week 2016.

Get Funky

Thanks to funding from Sanctuary Housing, local organisations Play Torbay, So-Fly and Imagine CIC have teamed up to organise Funky Mondays and Funky Tuesdays, evening events jam-packed with things for local young people to get involved in.

Exciting activities

With Funky Mondays taking place at the Windmill Community Centre and Funky Tuesdays happening at Foxhole Community Centre, both nights run from 5-8pm and include a range of sporting and social activities such as football, ping pong, dance and arts and crafts. A healthy youth café is also available for attendees to make a tasty snack.

Community Centre Week 2016

Lynne Roberts, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, said: “The Funky events are a fantastic example of a community-led project where local partners are coming together to benefit Torbay residents.

“Community Centre Week 2016 has given us a great opportunity to promote the value of our local centres.”

This project is funded by Sanctuary’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.
