Families in Shiregreen have been taking part in Street Fit sessions on green spaces across the estate.
Funded by Sanctuary Housing and working in partnership with Community Wellness Services, the fitness sessions are designed to encourage people to take part in a range of activities to help improve their general health and wellbeing.
Clare Wasden, coordinator at Community Wellness Services, said: “It has been lovely to see people enjoying being outside. We are pleased to be working with Sanctuary on this exciting project.”
Melanie King, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnership manager, added: “This was an opportunity to engage with the community and find out how local people’s lives have been affected by Covid-19.
“Based on feedback from those who attended over the summer, we are now working with local partners to coordinate and develop future activities for children and young people in the area.”
