Lache fun day is a hit with residents

24 August 2016

Lache residents have celebrated their annual family fun day, supported by Sanctuary Housing.

Over 150 people visited the Lache Community Centre for the fun day which saw local people of all ages enjoy an array of activities, including circus skills, graffiti workshop and a tombola.

Children were also kept entertained throughout the day with free fairground rides, painting and craft activities, including making bird feeders and music instruments.

Organised by Sanctuary’s Resident Involvement team, Cheshire West and Chester Council and Flipside Radio, the rest of the family were able to gather useful information from community safety wardens, PCSOs and Kier Waste Recycling.

A special performance was also put on by the Fallen Angels, who performed a piece of theatre about recovery.

Libbie Stock, Sanctuary’s youth engagement officer, said: “We had a fantastic day and so did the residents judging by the feedback we’ve received. With all of the events we hold in the area, our aim is to support our residents in living happy, healthy and fulfilled lives and I think it’s fair to say we achieved that at this year’s fun day.”
