Lord Mayor to switch on Blacon Christmas lights

The Lord Mayor of Chester Cllr Angela Claydon will be the guest of honour as the Christmas lights in Blacon are officially switched on.

Cllr Claydon will join residents and staff from Avenue Services to mark the start of the festive season by turning on the illuminations on Thursday 1 December.

Lights at the Blacon Camp shops will be switched on at 4.30pm followed by the Blacon Parade lights at 5pm.

There will also be a performance from local theatre group Rewind as well as a visit from Father Christmas.

Refreshments will be available.
