Summer activities on offer in Torbay

28 August 2015

Thanks to support and funding from Sanctuary Housing, a range of local organisations have come together to offer exciting summer activities across the Bay for community members of all ages.

Fun summer activities

The free summer activities (PDF 1.1MB) include lively sports sessions, green-fingered gardening fun and creative workshops, as well as community tidy ups and training to pass on important life skills like financial awareness.

What a summer!

Lynne Roberts, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager for Torbay, said: “What a summer we’ve got planned! Residents have told us the kind of things they’d like to achieve over the season and we’ve worked closely with a range of community-led organisations to set up this exciting programme of activities.

“I’d urge all Bay residents to come along and join in the fun.”

This summer programme has been part-funded by Sanctuary Group’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.

Sanctuary has worked with partner organisations to organise the summer activities, including Play Torbay, Great Parks Community Centre, ROC Blatchcombe, Totally Teens, So-Fly and Dreamscheme.

For more information follow Sanctuary Housing on Facebook or just turn up on the day.
